Not much help probably, but I was way out from Metro this evening and got skunked. I did see a large group of guys near Metro Beach that stayed till hard dark. They were about 3/4 mile off shore but I didn't talk to any of them to see how they were doing. :rolleyes:

When I have fished from the sail ramp, this time of year the closer to making yourself even with Metro point the Better. good fishing!

metro point? is that the penninsula along side the canal the boats use to enter/exit the marina? thanks

Yes, thats the point at the east end of the park. Line yourself up with the end of the point, but stay well south of the point itself. Lots of current sweeping around the point, combined with the shallow water there makes the ice iffy at best.
