I was hoping to go rabbit hunting near Yankee springs, but I really don’t have a clue on which area would hold the most rabbits. If anyone could help I would appreciate it a lot. Just want to let people know that buddy and I went to lowel state game area Sat we saw nothing waste of time do go there for rabbits its horrible.

I can't give you any specific information, but can suggest that you go out and do some scouting. Drive the side roads looking for rabbit tracks, focusing in areas of dense cover. I would also suggest a plat map be on hand so you can determine whether a likely spot is on private or public property.
GR is my hometown, but living there for me was long ago and far away.
For bunny hunting back then we focused on smaller pieces of dense, low-growing cover.
Take a look around apple orchards NW of town, out along Fruit Ridge Rd. and its connectors. Apple trees are pruned almost on a yearly basis and the brush is generally piled up. This draws rabbits like a magnet. Of course you'll have to get a farmer's permission to hunt.

I don't know about where you are but we have A LOT of snow. That makes them hold close to their holes. If you are hunting w/out dogs its pretty tough to do in this much snow. My last time out I kicked up a few in the thickest stuff around and they went right to the hole. Its still fun to get out and try and its a great workout too.
