Van Auken Lake Crappie

Hit Van Auken Lake in the morning on Friday. There wasn't a crappie to be seen at all in that lake. Most fish we marked were in at least 20 ft. of water and very finicky to say the least. We did however manage to hook some pre spawn bass in likely crappie areas though. Hope everyone out there is doing better than us on there local lakes for crappie.
