Snow Shoe rabbits.......a place to hunt

Nimrod, I know of a spot but its about a four hour drive for you. Just north of Pellston. I grew up in the area and hunted it a lot. Always has rabbits(snowshoes) It is state owned land. I found the best time to go is just between gun season and Christmas. The snow is not too bad that time of year. If you plan on going I would wait for a warm spell so some of the snow will pack down. Like I said this place always has bunnies and there is a ton of land. If this sounds like something you would like to try let me know and I will give you exact directions.

We have done well in the Glennie area along the AuSable river on the state land.

I'ts been a long time since I've been there but it would be fun again.
