Wolf Lake- Musk.

Fished the beach area for four hrs. Tues. 25-30ft. two 7in perch. one guy had about 35. I didn't get their till 11:00am.:eek:

Fished Wolf today 10am to 12:30 caught 20 keeper perch and threw a few back. We had fish under us the whole time but gave it up after the wind almost blew the shanty over twice. 24 fow gold rat finkees and spikes. Good fishing Tim

First time I went out I was using straight 4lbXL and caught 2 but could see fish under me the whole time. I switched to 4lb fluorocarbon w/2lb leader and a slip float just big enough to float rat finkee and spike set a few inches off bottom. The water in Wolf is very clear and the fish were biting very light. I was over on east side straight out from parking spot. I fish out of a Viking shanty and wear a Muskegon Big Reds hat. Looks too cold and windy today but I'll probably be out there Friday morning. The finkee I was using is just big enough to put on 2 spikes and they did to seem to prefer the gold or pale yellow headed ones. Good Fishing Tim

Will try again Friday morning over on the West end. Switch to rat finkies and give it a go. Jigging has not done well for me.

Fished White Lake on Monday I believe it was for gills. Over on the North side, did alot of sorting but got a good mess.
