Hit the mouth for a couple hours this morning with no luck. 4 other guys all of which left with no positive results. Rumors of only one fish since saturday, fishing slammers for steelies. Bit cold Id say for active fish. Ill probably try again on Fri.

With 30 mph winds predicted for wensday and thursday I dont think too many people will be out before friday. Good luck when you go.

I KNOW that there were fish taken Sunday morning off of Pentwater Lake ... I saw them weighed in at the Perch Festival. I'm not sure which "side" they were taken from, but both the first and second place steelhead came off Pentwater on Sunday. I guess that the action wasn't as good on Sunday as on Saturday but some bigger fish were taken.

uniborn - were you using anything other than spawn??

My Slammer Tip-Ups will withstand 30+ MPH winds - they were thoroughly tested in a 40+ blizzard years ago. Saw a few other peoples' "contraptions" false release and blow down that day. I would have taken the wind over all of the damn snow this past weekend. Hopefully the heavy winds will blow some of the snow off of the lakes and help make some thicker ice. Maybe it'll help freeze up some of "Slush World" on White Lake also.

Yes Matt , I was using spawn on one rod and wigglers on the other. You sound like you got the whole ice fishin thing for steelies mastered. Maybe we can hook up some time and let some of it rub off on me. Im new to this whole idea so any assistance would be appreciated.
I wouldnt say you cant catch fish right now but I will say you dont sweat keeping your tip ups set. LOL!
I think Im going to hit White lake this morning for a bit. I cant get out early but later is better than not at all. I will at least be able to see if anyone has had any luck.
