Got back from fishing it for the first time. Had to keep moving on Saturday and finially found a spot on the South side of the lake off of the island. In 22' of water 2 feet off the bottom. Not many as they were very skiddish and biting light. Had to change colors several times and give them time to suck in the waxies.
In 2 days of fishing ended up catching 15 gills and 1 sunny. But the nice thing was the size. Gills were all from 7 1/2" to 9" and the sunny topped out at 9 1/2. Probably the biggest sunny I ever caught. 9" of ice 4 inches of water and 10" of snow on top of the water. This made it really hard to move and discouraged me to try the North end of the lake. All in all a great time and worthwile.
