Does anyone else think that all of this cold weather has seemed to kind of shut the fishing down a little and do you think that all of this snow on the ice is having a negitive effect on fishing as far as it making pressure underneath.Just curious as I have my own theries on this.........Thanks
Clear cold days are the worst, especially right after the the front has passed. Things pick up a bit after a few days of clear skies. Best days are the days with a nice SW wind and a cloudy, moisture laden warm front rolling in.
The snow on the ice has nothing to do with it, barometric pressure is the key.

IMHO the snow on the ice is a good thing as opposed to glare ice w/ no snow-keeps everything much quieter and more consistent. The only drawback to that is the snowmobiles as a result...
