Never IF here before, so I guess we were paying our dues...

Fished out off the flats, NW the boat launch, in about 8FOW.
Seen 1 pike about 24", and a few micro perch in 4 hours. Moved up closer to shore ,by the launch, and set up in 14FOW. Fished for another 3 hours and caught 5 dink perch. Still had a good time fishing with friends and even got to break in a "virgin" too. :D

Took the sled and cruised around the lake, talked to about 5 other groups that were out. Couple of keeper pike and that was about it. Overall pretty slow in the fishing department. Ice was about 8" with a foot of snow on top.

One thing I saw that bothered me....If you are going to take your kids out IF..Make sure they have the gear..I saw some mullet out there with his son and the poor kid didn't have any gloves on or any snowpants either, and they were sitting on buckets!! The wind was whipping hard and it was cold as........ I don't see how the kid could have had any fun. Kid will probably never want go again.

Has anyone ever fished the NW side of the lake, by the little park?? Looking for some new spots to try for next time....Any help??

Lk Cadillac was slow too.... talked to a couple of groups while we were at the sands and they didn't do anything there either.

Fished Mitchell sunday, had 10 runs on tip-ups and landed 7 pike
2 keepers one was 24 and the other was 26 1/2. only caught 2 keeper gills but we were not about to hole hop to cold and windy to stay outside the shanty to long... I can't believe that ***** had his kid out in that weather. I had warm clothes on and I think we had the heat blasting the whole 2 hr trip home. We were fishing the weed beds out in front of the little cove just off the point about 200 yards in 8 fow.. I have a friend that fishes between the 2 points of the big cove and does well for pike there

Access to big cove is on NW corner at boy scout camp. Turn at the totem pole , it dead ends at the parking lot
