Welcome to the area. I've hunted the state land off of Daley Rd. quite a bit. It offers decent upland game hunting. I don't know about coyotes. I'm sure there's some out there. Grouse, woodcock, and turkeys are plentiful enough to make it worth your time. Deer hunting is like a zoo come gun season. After the first week of bow, you usually will have a large area all to yourself. Just be prepared for anything out there. It's the largest parcel of state land other than bald mountain in the area for oakland county folks to go to. Many people go there to ride bikes, or just walk aimlessly through the woods.
Fishing is really good. I won't give you the exact lakes, but there's a lot of them that are good. I will tell you to go to Long lake I think it's called. It's only open after the 4th of July. It is closed until the Geese have all nested. no motors are allowed on the lake. There's good bass and pike in there. Have fun finding the hot spots!!

Hey "YoteChazer" welcome to the site!
My brother did some bowhunting on some state land near Imlay City last fall. They saw some decent size bucks, but nothing close enough to shoot. We do real well on Pheasants in the area too!:D
