Montcalm County Pheasant's Forever is running a Hunter's Safety Course next week, Jan 21, 22 (6-9p.m.) and Jan. 24 (9a.m.-noon) in Stanton, MI. If anyone knows of a kid in this area that needs to go through the course let me know. There is no cost and each kid will get a great start on some hunting equipment that is sponsored or donated by local businesses. They also will receive a one year PF Ringneck membership and a chance at a guided pheasant hunt.

Sounds like a great opportunity for someone wanting to get into hunting. Is it free for adults also?

We run the course mainly for kids, but if there is room we welcome adults also. We do request that the adults join PF, $25 dues, however. We have a sponsor who pays for all the kids memberships. This gets you the year membership, eligibility to receive free or reduced price on many types of seed for habitat planting, the national PF magazine and invitations to our yearly events.

Due to weather and other scheduling conflicts we have changed the dates of our Youth Hunters Safety Class. We will run the class Feb. 4, 5 and 7. There is still room if anyone knows someone in the area that is interested. Thanks!
