I found my ultimate rabbit gun this week, the problem is to get it I need to sell a couple guns (according to my wife).
Is there somewhere I can look online to get an idea of what they are worth? I have a T.C. Cherokee .45 and a Stoeger Uplander 12 gauge that I am thinking of trading in to help offset the cost.

Which gun are you looking to buy? How do you like the Stoeger? I'm looking at one of the uplanders in 20 gauge or 28 mainly for bunnies and it looks like a well built gun for the money.

I love my stoeger. I am looking at getting another stoeger in .410 coach gun. I want it very light, small and wouldn't mind a second shot.

Ok i will try to help here but remember this is from a business perspective when i use to be a gun salesman.....To start with most gun departments need to inspect your gun and they have at least one gun smith who will inspect your gun inside and out....now they go by a blue book gun bible that tells them when a gun was made an how many were made also the condition of the gun has a great effect on what your gun is worth.......most gun stores will allow 75 percent of the value of your gun toward a purchase of a new gun ,how some only allow 25 percent which is a screwing so stay away from gallans in grand rapids.....lets say you have a gun built in 1990 and you payed 600 dollars for it.....if it is in perfect condition with no blemishes on the stock or metal it may have a value of 450 dollars so on trade it will be worth 75 percent of that.....i know some of you have scopes on your rifles but because we as salesman dont know how ruff you are with your gun or if it has been droped it is worth next to nothing......a scope that is in the top of the line is only worth between $100 and $200 dollars on trade on a rifle so you might as well take it off and keep it.........a low in scope that cost under $200 new is worth nothing to a dealer......now if you personaly know the owner of the business you may be able to get more money out of your gun but for the most part this is how the industry does things ........i got out of it and that was one reason i did.....guns set on the shelf for months so this time of year isnt a good time to look to trade a gun .....just my 2 cents
