Plan on fishing somewhere. Either there or Metro. Going to get my minnows and gear tonight. Have a feeling the morning at the bait stores is going to be a little crazy.

I'll probably be there on Monday the 12th. Too crowded on the weekend.

I will be sitting here at work from 5:30 to 2:30 monitoring all the reports then heading out for the evening bite (I hope). Next weekend Mitchels bay or St. Lukes..;)

Since it will be my last Saturday home I really should try to make it out, but I will try for the afternoon bite. What's the ticket out there? Minnows? Spoons? Jigging Raps? I have them all, and will experiment, but any info would be appreciated. I usually just fish perch with minnows but maybe the bite is on something else. Mike, how long do you plan on staying out there?

They will all work out there....Depends what they want to hit on any given day. I'll be out on Tuesday for sure and maybe on monday. I have 4 days off next week:D

I'll be out and monitoring 7 but for some reason my Midland Radios will not work with other brands channel 7 frequencies. I'll be on 1 so someone give me a shout if you lay into them... I'll be out in front of the grass island by the Raft... Look for the Frabil ultra-lite solo and I'll be under it.

I was out at Bud's yesterday and managed a couple. I did talk to one guy who got his limit early. Once the sun disappeared the fish did too. Today we fished metro and managed a about 15 but all dinks.

The grass island behind the Raft is already Shanty city. I saw about ten out there all bunched up together. Are they all fishing there or are they just parking their shanties there and moving them when they come out fishing.???

First ice there is good for pike spearing.

The Raft is located on M-29 up past fairhaven, across from the St. John's Marshland.

I was able to decoy quite a few fish in the hole, but they werent biting..... I think DZ, and his brother in law Mark took home 17 decent fish, we had quite a few throwbacks. Mark did catch 1 big one though....... Tried throwing the spear a few times, missed.... The holes in the shanty were too small for spearing.

Saw IFN, JeffK, Treeman, Dz's Taxi and his buddy on the pond yesterday. Fishing was slow... Had 1 productive school come through and picked 6 up with some fish on a bare teardrop. Caught a few fish on a Ken's hook and had 1 fat 12" female come in and rail my wiggler on the drop... Smacked it and took my wiggler and then came back and inhaled my teardrop... That was Kick-*****!!! Saw over 100 and only managed 14 (15 if you count Jeff's sole fish of the day) for a half a day on the lake. Nursing a sore back (I got to get shorter rods) from leaning over the holes but a belly full of fried Perch fillets were the cure.:D

Me, Melon and Buddhabelly were out there. Set up shop near IFN when we got out there. Caught prob a doz and a half with not many keepers. Bunch of small ones kept on comming up and checking out our baits. A LARGE pike hit Melon's rod, but it was one of those will the plastic spool and it ran out all his line, oh well, fun while it lasted. We were ready with the gaff. :) All my fish were caught on jigs from ficious.

It was nice to be on LSC again ice fishing.
