Took the small boat out today. Caught nothing but dinks after moving all over the big lake, thought that maybe the lagoon inside metro might be worth a try. It was the best decision we made, With alot of sorting we managed around 30 keepers all over 9 inches. All were caught on ice jigs w/ minnow under a slip float. Done taking the boat out but with the cold coming it won't take long to get ice back there.

It was a little milky, but could see the prop.

just curious.....never fished hard water on the pond.....how far of a walk is it from where you park at metro, to get to the ice?
gonna be up a few times this season, and would like to check out a couple different places.

To get on the big pond there is barely any walk at all. They have a big lot right on the lake. The lagoon in the boat basin is also a short walk, a couple hundred yards. Last year during last ice we pulled some of the nicest limits i have ever seen, 1 1/2-2 miles out from metro, hope we get enough ice to get out there this year.
