Woke up this morning with the nice temp we had 55 deg. i decided to take some time to go fish in a local river. I was about 30 minutes into the water and nothing was hiiting my yarnspawn so i decided to use my year and a half old uncured frozen spawn bag (kings spawn) which I was planning to throw it into the river for chum only. then on my first cast ... bam.. a 4 lbs steel went to the stringer. I rig another oldie and cast again, now a real big steelhead hit it and sprinted about 50 yards and doing some acrobatic stunts. it was about 28+ inches and about 5 minutes into the fight my 4lbs leader gave the victory to the steel. Re rig another oldie and on the first cast bam... another steel probably the same size proudly displays another acrobatic stunts and spit my hook out minus my oldies. trying to re rig but misfortunes struck again, my open container of my oldies slip my hand while i was trying to get another one. thats the sign to go home and quit for the day.
