Stoney Creek ice conditions

Was out this morning with JNpcook on the north lake. Was safe this morning but I think I'll stay off till next weeks cold snap. A little water around the edges. Ice was 4". Caught a few gills while showing John the vexilar fl18 and what it can do.

Walleye Mike Please let me know how the ice conditions are still doing at stony. Have not ice fished there in about 15 years. Would appreciate any input on where and how to fish that lake. If the ice is still safe i'd like to get out in the next couple of days. NO ICE over here on st. clair. Thanks!!!!!

Probably still ok today 01-01-04 but is starting to shrink. I'm staying off till next Tues or so. Some cold weather then will firm it back up.

Yesterday was still good but not as good as last week.

I fished stoney last year for the first time and caught only small perch. We went in by the boat ramp and off to the left. I wold like to fish there more this year but would like to get to the right areas for perch, & would also like to catch some walleye. If anyone can let me know where the hot spots are I would verymuch appreciate it. Also any hints you may have would be great.

perch at stoney??? go hit lake st clair my friend...... Waaaayyyy better perch....when you can find them.

Most of the walleye in stoney are caught in the creek channel or by the dams. Watch the ice by the dams.

And may I add by next weekend you'll probably be able to get out into the Big St. Clair itself with any luck...:)

I don't think you will be on the Big lake with all the snow that is coming before the big freeze. :( :(
If you are it will probably be on a boat...

All this snow will just go into the water. The whole middle of the lake is unfrozen. It will freeze after the snow.

I'd be willing to bet that I will be out on LSC somewhere by Friday....May only be one of the canals..but heck, I'll take what I can get at this point.
