No ice on the lake itself. Canals were frozen but wouldn't count on it after all of that rain. Going out to check ice conditions tomorrow.

Zero, nodda. nothing! I live on a canal off the Black Creek and there is no ice in my canal. Venetian (sp) canal has a little ice in parts but is not safe as of now. Might check Simcoe if you need to get out but even that might be marginal. Good luck!

Big Eye,
Watch out for the duck boats if you go out Saturday. The duck season re-opens for Saturday and Sunday only, and from the posts on the "Waterfowl" page, the lake will be a zoo Saturday morning because of the lack of ice. Layout boat city out there I bet.

If that is the case then well be wearing orange on our boat. And hopefully yellowbellies in the bucket.
