How far North do I have to travel this weekend to stand on 3-4" of ice and watch some tip-ups fo pike or walleye and bobbers for panfish?

I had good ice on my lake all weekend (SW part of the state), but it is in sad shape and not looking good for this weekend. Any and all info is welcome, areas of stae, bodies of water, locations and tips all welcome. I know Houghton is a go, but would rather try someplace different and possibly closer (and with bigger pike!).

Thanks in advance for the ice reports!

i'm thinkin the clare area might still have some alright ice, but i'm not too sure, and i would think the houghton/cadillac areas will have decent ice. Be careful though, the rain mighta made some areas not safe at all. I'd call ahead.

They were ice fishing yesterday on that lake by US-10 in Farwell (close to Clare). I would go a little further north to be safe though as it did not look thick, nonetheless, there must have been 10-15 guys out there at 9:00 in the morning.
