... Glad you made it up and out onto the ice. Word on the street is the Portage/Chassel has been slow so far. I haven't been on the ice down there as of yet. I didn't even venture onto the ice this past weekend due to the warm weather and a potentially "freaking out" girlfriend (Not to mention skiing and snowshoeing on my time off). Ah, but alas, it's cold here again....calling for the negatives this week.

Yeah, it was slow but it was good to be out. I stopped by the bait shop you mentioned and got some minnows. I fished the outlet of the bay (where I caught the pike) and there was about 4 or 5 inches there. The bay itself had 8 to 10 inches. I caught the walleye in the bay. A lot of people were putting shanties out there on Saturday.
