I own a cabin on the south lake, I went up last weekend and the fishing was great, especially the walleyes...the ice is 8 inches in most places so its safe enough, I am going up again tomorrow night for the weekend, hope to have the same good fishing...well good luck! :D

thanks for the tip frzFinn, (about the radio), I believe I'll bring one. It's an earlier model, maybe 5 yrs. old and doesn't scan. Is there any channel that's commonly used in the area?:fish:

fished Sat and Sun on S Manistique, brought back 13 perch, part of Sunday's catch. Probably had 30 or so smaller ones and one northern about 24 ". ice was about 10 to 12 inches with a couple vehicles driving out. (I did't like the way the ice was cracking when they passed our shaty! Had a real good time, this was my better half's and my first time ice fishing at curtis and first time with a Vex. The vex was great, I think we're going to have to start saving for another.:)

The way me and my dad do it is just put the aqua in its own hole pointing toward your set ups you can see the first two great but the other two its kind of hard
but you can still see the fish bite isn't that what the aqua view is for though.

not trying to be a jerk but how do you put your holes? in a pretty close to straight line. or what is confirtable. That might be the key.
