Out fished by an 8 yr old, on Lk Mitchell

Went out to Lake Cadillac this AM. We were fishing out from the Fire/Police Dept & boat launch. I caught nothing ... but my 8 yr old daughter had to show me up with this 28" Northern. No Crappies, Perch, or Gills (were not marking any either).

All in all not a bad day on the ice for 'Dear Old Dad".

Well done, we have some damn good fishing kids around this site. Kinda makes some of us adults look pretty bad but I can live with it to see kids like this enjoying themselves.;)

In that area on Cadillac (NE end) there was probably 5" more or less. All very hard and in great shape.

Thanks for the comments guys. It was truely a good day. I made sure the hook was set, and let here pull the line in. I did help her guide it up through the ice, when the time came.

She's kinda gettin a 'big head' over the deal. She's telling people "Dad put it on the internet and 300 (or what ever the latest count has been) people have looked at it". She had to print one of the pics and take it to church on Christmas Eve to show her friends. She even carried it under her choir robe!!!

Unfortunately, she is not hooked enough. Wanted to go back up in the AM. But she does not want to go ... 'well dad, it is the day after Christmas and I have all these new toys to play with!'

How would I go baout sending it in to MUCC?? Now that would take the proverbial cake!!!
