Went out and checked a few lakes in Livingston county this AM. Lots of open water, but found a couple of fishable lakes.
Kent Lake: Some open water out out from the West boat launch. No one has been on the ice. Did walk out in one of the back bays by turtle head and found about 3" of ice. Enough for Me!
There must have been 100 swans on the open water by the Buno Rd bridge. Take the family out because it is worth seeing.
Chilson Pond: About 3" with a few fisherman. Didn't see any fish though. They were fishing the south lake, out from the access site.
Bishop Lake: Looked about like Chilson, but no one on the lake. Access road is still closed so you have to walk in from the road.
All the other lakes I saw had open water.
