ice conditions Hale area

I have a place up by Hale. Just wondering what the ice conditions are up around the Hale, Rose City, Mio area?

Planning on getting up there after Christmas. Tip up flags are dancing in my head:) :)

Just talked to my uncle (thinking about heading up)in hale.Theres 3" of ice where he fishes between hale-glennie.

I have a place on Long Lake, last weekend there were about three inches in most spots. But I heard they got a good rain, so I dont know now. But good luck.

I will be out Saturday, I'll post results and thickness. Right now its about 3", but its been plenty cold all week.

Niner,There were guy's out on Clear lake last Sunday 3 to 4",Rifle Lake still has open water on the south shore,have'nt heard anything on George Lake yet.I'm kind of eager to get on Ausable Lk.myself.Might shoot over to St.Helen just to see whats going on.If I do I'll post .......Gary

I fish S Dease often. If you are up the 27th, let me know, I'll look you up out there. I usually fish the weedbed on the west shore by the boathouse.

I haven't looked at Ausable lk yet, I usually wait for thicker ice there because of the depth.
