What's the ice looking like up there?

We have a cabin a couple mile south of Baldwin (on a small private lake) and was there last weekend ...Ice was about 3/4 to 1'' thick . but no means ready to be walked on :( My guess would be about the same for Hess ...... I'm hopping to get out the weekend of Christmas ...but things are iffy at best
