Anybody ever fish this lake. It's Big Rainbow Lake. Winter or summer? My inlaws just bought a house on this lake and it's gorgeous, just wondering if anybody could tell me what's in the lake and how the fishing is. Thank YOU!!

i've heard good things... i'd be willing to tell ya if you can get me out there... LOL. in truthfulness, I believe there is trout in there, along with big crappies. That is heard third hand though, as its a private lake and well, i never was able to fish it.

Steve, I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem getting you on the lake. Summer or winter - let me know - especially if you have some good info!!:D

i'll try to scare up some detailed info on the lake. I used to work in a bait shop then a fly shop in lansing, so i have heard some things about it. Looks like i'll have to do a little bit of a shakedown for more info.

I have a friend who lives in one of the subdivisions there. He's talked about some good bass in the past, but not much else. Then again, he's not too serious of a fisherman. I'll ask him what he knows.

Maybe Lisa would be interested to see how hard "working" these days. talked to buzz about heading up to simcoe when you guys go; hes in, but needs a couple weeks advance notice for the boss, i.e. Heather. im not sure if hes more interested in the fishing or the blackjack but either way itll be a good time. gimme a call on the cell when you know whats going on.

I have never fished it because it is private and I didn't have access. I know that it used to have great Gills, Crappie, and Pike in it. I remember when the dam broke and all the fish in there got dumped into the Maple River. Glad to here that it has come back. Now just to get access??????? LOL!.....Patch

Going to try to head over there with my son on Sunday. I see there was a mini-outing there a week or so ago. Again, any more tips would be appreciated.
Thank You!

Got up there this past weekend. Caught a keeper walleye and some nice gills, perch and crappie. This is turning into quite the little good fishing lake. Anybody else been out there lately?
I have an acess lot there but havent fished it a whole lot yet. Panfish seem to run on the small side so far. Went bass fishing there the other day and was pretty impressed. Will be exploring the lake more in the near future.

The panfish we have got so far have been quite nice. Especially the perch and crappie. Bluegill are average but what a perch lake. Never have got this size of perch in an inland lake!!
GO PISTONS!!
