Went up to Houghton Lake this wkend and only caught a few gills off the south shore. Real slow. Other people I talked to had about the same luck. Did catch a fat little short handled northern on a schooley pole with half pd. test. That was a fun 5 minutes! Also Sunday night there were 2 quads out on the ice, with only 4-5 inches. Braver than I. But each to their own.
