Jpollman, that is the same materials that I would like to build a shanty with. Only problem on the roof is most metal roofing is steel and I want aluminum for portability. My main problem is getting it in and out of the truck.

But I did finally find a manufacturer that makes metal roofing in aluminum... so I am one step closer.

That is nearly exactly what I want.

Here is an idea for those whose wifes wont let them spend the $200-350 for a portable ice hut.

Show them the shanty from neiman marcus for $27 k and tell them the $200-350 spent is a real bargin plus it can double as a portable tent in the summer for the kids! :D
