Cadillac Lake Ice

Anyone been out on either lake in Cadillac" Last week there was like 3-4 inches out there, but with the rain and warm weather I wonder,,, Thanks and where can I get some GOOD cleats for my boots? Are the military Surplus ones any good?

I like the artic spurs i believe they are called... have a green latex tubing... in fact i have two pair.... the military ones (at least the ones i've used) came off relatively easily and the buckle was a pain when it got frozen with ice.

Ditto what MSU said.... I had the cleats on my boots all last winter, real comfortable (at least on my boots) Just be really quiet when your in the party store!

Hey guys ever try the chain type ? They are designed for waders but work great as ice grippers/cleats .. They are like a rubber band with chains on them ...I have used them for years and the nice part about them is that you can pretty much leave them on all the time . I think I bought mine at an Orvis shop ?
