HAVE BEEN LOOKING AROUND AT DEALERS FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS .MY OPTIONS 4 WHEEL DRIVE,AUTO AND I WILL USE IT MODERATELY FOR BOTH RECREATION AND PLOWING SNOW (PLOW TO BE PURCHACED AT A LATER DATE). SO IN INSEARCHING AROUND THIS A.M. AT A FEW DIFFERENT FORUMS THE GENERAL CONSENSUS IS POLARIS.
KEEPING WITH THAT ,I FOUND A 99 POLARIS 500 UNIT AT A DEALERWITH ONLY ABOUT AN HOUR ON IT .THE SELLNG PRICE IS 5300.TOYS ARE EXPENSIVE BUT I AM THE TYPE TO KEEP MY STUFF FOR A LONG TIME.SO I FIGURE A 500 CC UNIT WILL LAST.
AS I SAID IN THE SUBJECT FIRST TIMER AND ALL THE GUYS I KNOW HAVE SPORT UNITS I WANT A WORKHORSEANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED AND IF SOUND ,HEEDED .

I own a polaris sportsman 500. I do'nt have any complaits about it. In fact I would go out and buy another if my wife gave me the chance. All my friend own the sportsman too, and they all shopped around for which brand to buy,and it all came back to the polaris. The polaris sp. makes a great workhorse and makes for a great trail machine. the rear independent suspension really smoothes out the ride.

The current issue of Dirt Wheels shows the '99 Magnum 500 at $5460 retail and the '99 Sportsman 500 at $5655 retail. Price doesn't sound too bad. We have two Trailboss 325's and have been real happy with them. Welcome to quadding! It's a blast!!!

PRICE IS A MAJOR FACTOR . 500 IS MORE POWER THAN I NEED. I IMAGINE ONE DAY THERE WILL BE A 1000 OR 1100 THEN I WILL TRADE MINE IN, MAYBE.
THANX FOR THE INFO .KEEP'EM COMING

We have a Kawasaki Prarie that is used to plow snow, and other things around the yard, also for icefishing. And have no complaints with. The only reason we bought this and not a Polaris is the price. Otherwise do agree that Polaris is a good machine.
