Metro Boat Basin??

Has anyone been over to the boat basin at Metro??

That usually gets iced over pretty early.
Last year about this time I was fishing off the dock's.

Just wondering. Any report's would be appreciated.

Much of it skimmed over but there was still some open water. With these warmer temps and rain, it's going to be awhile yet.

I think i might just punch a hole tomorrow and fish on the docks, i got the itch to try out some new items for the year. Kick the tires so to speak.

Was fishing off the docks sunday less than an inch of ice and two dinks in two hours did'nt see anyone do anything.

that can change if the water Clears. Don't forgett about the second set of docks East of the main docks. They can be productive when the main docks aren't doing anything

Sorry guys, I went through it in my duck boat Sunday night and broke up most of the Ice that was in there. This warm weather an rain did the rest. Will up date you guys tonight when I get home. (Live there)

No Ice. A little skim in some areas. Other than that, nothing.

I just took a drive towards Metro beach. The marina/basin has about 1/2 to 3/4 inches of ice. I didnt see any open water on either side of the island. I also checked the spillway, it only has about a 1/4 of an inch. It shouldnt be long now. I saw one guy leaving the docks at Metro. He said no bites in 2 hours.

They were on the ice today
