To all;
I plan on going to do some trap shooting on 4/7 at the Shelby River Bends Park (the old Rochester-Utica State Rec. area). It is a nice park; bring your own shells, pigeons, & thrower. Eye and ear protection required. If I am not mistaken, it is $5 for a daily permit and $35 for an annual. I plan on being there at 9 A.M.--anybody want to join me in busting a few?

Trout,
It is probably about an hour and 15 minutes to an hour and a half drive for you. Basically, take I-94 west to M-59, come west on M-59 to Dequindre Rd exit, then make a right on Dequindre and head north another couple miles, then another right for a mile and your there (I can't remember the road names; I'll make sure of what they are and post them later). It would be pretty much freeway and 3-4 lane road driving for you. Hope you can make it.

Just thought that I would post some better directions: Take M-59 to the Dequindre Rd exit. Go North on Dequindre 2 miles to Hamlin Road (if you drive past the Detroit Sportsmans Congress, you have gone to far). Turn Right (head east) on Hamlin road and drive for 1 mile to Ryan Rd (drive careful--this is a nasty stretch of "washboard" road). Drive across Ryan Rd into the park and procede for about a half a mile--the entrance to the trap and archery range is on the left hand side. Hope to see some of you there; look for a big, bald guy with a blue Toyota Camry and a bunch of 16 gauge shotguns!

Boy I sure would love to, but this weekend is my annual lake Michigan brown trout outing. Please let me know when you plan to do it again, I'd really like to make it.

Hey Trout!
I had a great time too! I just got done counting empty boxes and sorting shells by gauge; I counted 25 empty boxes, and I figure with what I brought in "loosies", we probably shot over 700 rounds! No wonder my shoulder is black and blue:eek:
I enjoyed shooting the lefever; you can keep your "oogie":p
I can't wait to see you take two live birds with one shell like you did today:D
Summer is just starting; I plan on doing this again, and again, and again........

Allright, all you birds! You better watch out this fall, because Trout and Mr. 16 gauge have been prac-tizen!;)
