a figure in the shadows

Today on my way to work I noticed skim ice on the canal by the dive shop and out of the corner of my eye I swear I saw a figure in the shadows holding a 5 gal bucket walking down the canal ,,,it was well before sun-up so all I could see was a silhouett,,but it looked like IFN!

I checked out your most excellent secret canal today at 3pm. It isn't quite safe for walking on yet. It looked like a late boat removal went down there today and loosened up the middle a bit. There were 2 guys fishing off the dock half way down. I didn't talk to them, but they had a bucketfull of somethin'........
I plan on being there tomorrow at 8am.

when I got home today about 12:30,,there was 2 guys fishing on buckets near the end of the canal,,,no kidding!! they really were!

I bet they could have gotten down the canal further if some fool in a boat hadnt broken up the ice!!!!!:rolleyes: :D

IFN, just waiting for the word of 4" of good ice..... since I'm a big guy, 3 is just a little too iffy for me..... Gonna be a little bit of a warm up during the week which isn't good news, but then a cold snap again.... so maybe by the middle of next week there will be 4" in some areas for me to punch a hole through.
