there is a guy in town who will drive ya out on a flat bed for 5 bucks. It's a good deal. He'll check on you from time to time and take you back.

Cool, is it liek that every single year???? I mean, even if it's half as good as it was last year, we would go.....but, really want those limits of 13+ inchers.....it seems the best perchin holes are always the longest hikes(AKA banana dike, mitchels bay) weird how it always pays off

Ed, still remember of the "last ice" venture we had last year off Ginos? What a riot!!! Had to be 250 guys out ther on the edge of the open water.Everyone was catching JUMBO perch then the walleyes moved in. Hope to get into them again this season. Oh yea, I finally picked up a snowmobile so I can run the shuttle service out there this year and Dead Bird won't have to walk 3 miles to get there. AL:D ;) :D

yes AlD that was a great time. Kinda of a weard fish sitting so far from land and only feet from open water :eek: Great news about the transportation Al. I don't mind the walk out but when it snows a few inches and I have to drag/plow my stuff back to my car. well lets just say it's a sobering experience ;)

was out at Gino's that same weekend fishing in T-shirts. the fishing was unbelievable never got an eye but some of the perch looked like eyes. Always wanted to go to Mitch bay but never have, this year will be the year.
