My perch fishing buddy Wes and I hit the pond for some fall perch fishing on Wendsday and had our limit and a nice boat ride into a beautiful sun-set. We were in Canadian waters about 2 miles east of the weather bouy. There was one other boat there with us. Did a lot of sorting but the bite was one fish after another ended up with two limits over 8" and about 40 were 10" up to 14". It was a fun day and actualy the best day so far this fall. It should be good up to ice-up now I hope. Most fish came on minnows a few on a piece of night crawler and a few on two anice beads. The bigger the minnow the bigger the perch.

Great job George! I'll be out Friday with my boss in search of those tasty little guys. I don't think I could possibly do worse than my last trip so I have high hopes at this point. :)

Good going George. I'll be out there myself Friday and possibly Saturday. I'll be staying on the MI side due to my passengers lack of Canadian licenses. We'll probably cast the middle lake for a while before moving downlake in search of a 40#er.

Great report!

One question: I know what Anice is (herb used in baking/brewing), but what is an anice bead?

There a soft plastic salmon egg in anise oil. Sometime called Jens-eggs.
