I am looking to buy a new quality built recurve bow for my 9 yr old son. I haven't found mucn info. Any sugestions? thanks
Gregg,
I was at Cabela's in Dundee last week. They had a Saxon longbow there and I tried it just for the heck of it. I liked it so much that when I got home, I ordered one just like it. (Wish I would have just bought the one I tried). Anyway, Saxon makes a youth recurve. It can be seen at:

Just my $.02.

I know you said recurve, but Great Northern sells some real nice youth longbows. They are 48" and 52" and the draw weights run from 10# to 23#. Your choice of wood; Hickory, Red Elm, Osage, Bamboo some have Applewood risers. They have a 25% sale on last years bows. These bows sell for 125.00, I think quivers are included. go to this website:

Three Rivers Archery sells the Badger Youth Recurve.
The Badger is a 50" full working recurve that really shoots! Double tip overlays and clear glass over two red elm laminations combine with the hardwood riser to
bring you a "one of a kind" youth recurve. Available in 25#, 30#, and 35# at 24 inches draw. Please specify. Additional handling required. $169.95
