My buddy Jim sent me this pic of a Snook he caught way down in Florida ,,,it tipped the scale at 18lbs and change!!,,,,,,I was just thinking you all might want to have a look see!!.........

OMG:eek: That is a huge pig!!! Where about did he catch it?? I never get anything close to that around marco or the keys. Probably came from offshore?? Good eating there, walleye of the south I say.

that is a pig of a snook.... they have weird seasons down there for snook and sort of a slot limit in most places. I always catch a few (very rarely even close to that size) when i go down there for christmas.

He got it somewhere down by Englewood ,,probably got it in one of those great spots of his. you-know the ones that never produce fish when he takes me!!

You are getting me geeked for my annual foray to the southlands. I can picure those fish creating a wake as they come out from under a mangrove to smack a magnum chug-bug...........what a riot.:)

ill be snook fishing on the 25th. Cant wait. I got one about same size 3 years ago on 10 test and no leader. Was fishing off some rocks ans Was reeling in a small red snapper when the big boy hit-great fight, but out of season and back he went. Two old timer, said biggest they ever saw. Then again i throw all of them back.
