I just took a look at the LSC weather buoy data for the past 24 hrs. Wind speeds of 30 knots, gusting to 40 knots, and the reported wave height did not hit 5 feet. That doesn't seem right. It seems like the wave reports, this year, have been smaller with the same wind speeds vs. previous years. Has anyone else noticed this? Obviously, you didn't need to check the buoy today to figure out whether you should take a cruise on the pond.

Absolutely Steve! Last year it seemed that they were a little high on the heights but if they re-calibrated, they definitely blew it on the low side. You and I both know that we would be lookng at 5 to 7 footers with the winds they had today. Just glad I wasn't out there to experience them first hand as I have in the past.

I did a post earlier where I mentioned the 5 foot waves, well, actually the highest it said was 4.9........I read a report on another site of 16 footers on Lake Michigan....WOW
