Boat cover repair

Anyone here have any experience repairing small tears in a tarp boat cover? I've got a small "L" shaped tear in my boat cover that seems to have been caused from a rock or something chucking up off the road. The tear is maybe the size of a 50 cent piece. I'd just like to fix it before I send it off for storage for the winter. Nothing worse than getting a boat out of storage that needs work.

you may be able to use an Iron-on Patch, the ones they make for Jeans...I use these on my Ice Shanty( Shappell) works great..

Get them at any fabric store or K-mart, Meijers, ect..
