11-01-03 on the Pond with Whit

I took Our good friend Whit out on the pond last sat. for some fall perch fishing. It was'nt the best fall day for perch. The weather was ok but the bite was not. Went around the lake stopping at many of My secret hot spots. Just could'nt get them going like they should be at this time of year. Salmon fish was behind by about 3 weeks this year maybe perch fishing is also.

[Gone Fishing]

Sorry to hear that the fishing was on the slow side, but a day fishing with a good friend is hard to beat! I can’t figure out the Perch this year. You whack them one day and return to the same spot the next day and struggle. Those fish should be smacking that bait right now. We fished Leamington yesterday and the bite we even slow over there. Oh well, we’ll see you on the pond soon!

That's what happens when you bring one of them there trout fishermen south. Milt, put the spinners away, they won't work on deep perch.;) :D

I'm sorry I couldn't free some time to see you in the south Milt. I hope to be up for two weeks next month and maybe we can chase some of those winter steelies. You'll feel more at home.:p :D

Looks like a couple of good meals to me. Whit would be smiling even if you were shut out. That serenity stuff really must work.:)
