I went to an estate sale today and picked up a portable fishing shanty still in the box. It may have seen the ice once. It is in brand new condition. I need another fishing shanty like a hole in the head. I bought it to post it here because it was just too good of a deal to pass up. I will sell it for just what I paid for it, $75.00.

Now why couldn't you have been to that sale yesterday? I was just in Marine City today and would have come and got it this morning. Not sure I want to drive back out there again. :)

In that order.
I just bought the shanty this morning in Marine City, so yes it is still available. The only fair way I see to do this is to take the inquiries in order.
Duckman, My office is located in Attica which is not too far from you. If you want the shanty, it is yours as the first inquiry but you have to let me know by tomorrow night. Skeeter is next in line. I can't hold off the crowd for too long.

Hey Treeman
Was that estate sale the auction in marine city put on by relics auction house out of Port Huron. I believe it was suppost to be at a antique dealer liqudating his inventory. If so I go to many local auctions and have been dying looking for a shanty, and if this is the same one then the first one I miss had exactly what I wanted. $75 great buy, I know you will sell it for sure and if you wanted could get a lot more for it.

The estate sale was run by the family of Marc Miller at the sampler house on Main street, just north of the lower bridge. Marc was quite a collector of old fishing lures and loved pike spearing decoys. He was featured on the channel 7 series "from the heart" several years ago for his samplers and because he had a truly miraculous recovery from brain cancer. The doctors had no explanation for it. The cancer came back and took Marc a little over a year ago. All of us that knew him miss him.
It seems that Duckman wants the shanty. I am in the process of making arrangements to get it to him. I just want it to go to someone who will enjoy it as much as Marc would have.

I'll take it if Duckman doesn't.

Duckman and I completed the shanty sale this morning. I am sure that he and his 2 kids will enjoy it very much. I appreciate all of the response.
