fished the last trip (with the bigger boat);) today. My dad and I ended up with 18 Perch. with 9 of them 11" and better the rest 9" or larger . we fished 3 miles out from GPYC about a mile north of the pack of boats. 11 am to 130 pm. slips and perch rigs were working . all in all kinda slow.

Yup Ed, I heard the same thing from a friend of mine that worked the U.S. shore today. He ended up with a dozen Perch to show for it. I have a bait well full of big Emeralds so based on your reports, I'm headed to Canada. It is getting late in the season (actually I'd love to be fishing open water till Christmas but we'll see) so I hope to put the hurt on the jumbos tomorrow. Time will tell but I have the big fish kid going with me so my hopes are up! :p

Last trip for the year, would the Canadian side be a better bet for the perch than our side? Are the Walters hitting in the area of Peach island? were going to make it a full day, any suggestions?
Any Musky looking for a meal?
Sturgeon are heading out to the lake to winter so I am lost as to which specie to chase. Sounds like no one has hit the pot of gold unless they are tight lipped.
Sure could use some help!

Fished Lake Erie out of Leamington 11-2-03 with Up Our Alley Charters. Six man limit of perch, lots of doubles. Threw back anything under 8 inches, most fish 10 – 12 inches, a dozen or so 13 inches and one 14 inch brute. Great day on the water.

Geez Big Bob, I've fished with Joe up there twice in the last couple weeks and we just haven't hit the right day. Yesterday we caught about 150 but didn't get that many jumbos. I may give it one more shot before the end of the year because they get some hogs up there if you hit it right. Other than that, I'll stick to LSC till the ice comes. BTW, Joe told me about your trip but I didn't realize it was you. Did Larry (Linewineder) give you the tip to book a trip with Joe?

John,

I have fished with Joe’s son Darrel a few times over the past few years and
that’s how I know of Joe. I read an article in the paper last week and saw
Joe’s name and gave him a call. This was the first time I went out with Joe.
We went back to his bowling alley after fishing for fried perch, boasted
chicken and all the trimmings, what a feast!
I might be interested in one more trip out, I can get at least one maybe two
fisherman. Let me know if you can get a couple and we can hook something up.

Tight lines...............

Bob, Joe only got approx. 100 fish on his charter yesterday. I'm not so sure I'm ready to pay the money for a day like that. I've already had 2 marginal days over there and I'm pretty sure I can get my limit of good fish right out in my stomping grounds on LSC. Keep me posted but I don't think I'm ready to commit right now. A couple of slow days on LSC may change my mind though. :)
