Basically this place bites due to poor structure and the fact that you must do most of your fishing along a wall six feet high. I also know the railroad cop is a real prick if he catches you crossing the RR bridge. However, it is just down the road from me and provides a convenient place to cast for an hour or so when I get the urge yet don't have the time to go to Flat Rock. Has anyone had any luck here? My Dad told me of a guy that caught a 25lb chinook in November, but who knows. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I fished the lower huron metro park this morning. Water was really high so I stayed to the small feeder streams. I walked the length with polarized glasses. The water was very clear but I didn't see any kind of fish. There are some deep spots and it is 80% gravel so it seems like a good spot to spawn.
I saw one guy fly fishing just downstream from French Landing Dam but he didn't have any luck.
I might just head back to Hu Roc until things pick up.
