Hey Clinton river fisherman.
I was wonderin if anyone would wanna plan a date for when the steelies do start comin in, if anyone would wanna go out and catch some steel. If you do, what would be a good date for EVERYONE. Lemme know and we'll figure something out.

Sometime on a Sunday would work best for me. I haven't been out there yet and would like to give it a try soon. Keep us posted.

OK, i'm going out there right now maybe if my dad would pick up the phone. I'm on hold:(. But anyways how about april 8th. It's a sunday and I could probably make it out there after church. But it all depends. The steelies should be in full swing. Is this all good for everyone. lemme know.

sounds good, but I have heard it is terribly crowded on the weekends. If we were to meet, we should plan on being there early. Just a thought -craig-

Thats good with me, I don't think I will be up North that week-end anyway. Give us the details when you can.

I think I can make, I will check for sure. Early is good for me. Want to miss as much of the crowd as I can. Keep us posted.

The only problem is making it early, I won't beable to attend because my family has church. and the chance of getting ssomeone up to take me would be rare. Have any other suggestion's to miss the crowd. Sometime during the weekend would work for me.

I suggest a weekday. I know it is not possible for everyone, but I try to hit the Clinton near Yates-Riverbend at like 3:30.
I go in to work early, pack some work to finish at nightand justify getting a couple hours of fishing in on the way home on a sunny afternoon. Even at 4:30 or 5:30 on a weekday there are rarely very many people there, and with the days getting longer . . .
Count me in for whatever date you choose, but my wife is expecting right around the 14th of April, so I may have to leave early ;)

Came down Ryan on the way home from work. The park was full and the bar had a dozen cars in the lot . 22 mile park had at least a dozen if not more! That was at 5:30. I think they take reservations!:)

THanks Rick for the up-date, are you going to be able to make it to the outting. I'll probably be out at the yates to see how things are going after school. Then we'll maybe able to tell what is going on with them.. Can't wait.

Went to the Clinton after work yesterday (about 5:30pm) and fished upstream of Ryan Road. Didn't see any fish. The water is fairly clear but is still a little fast for wading (at least to me).
