salty venison balls

Take some venison burger, roll it in to a ball.

Deep fry the balls in vegetable oil.

When you remove the balls add a lot of salt and enjoy.

Bob,

Glad you liked the recipe LOL. However, I can not take any credit for this one. I have never tried it.....personally I don't use much salt....also don't deep fry much.

I can see where using a seasoning salt or cajun seasoning might work well.....don't know....have never tried it.

When we copied all of the recipes from the old Recipe Book in this site we did not edit any of them....just copied them over as they were originally posted.

Thanks for the post.

This is a great recipe. I tried it last night . One thing I found out is that if you lightly mist the balls with bourbon and a little hot sauce they are delicious.:)

Tried this as well the other night. I didn't use the bourbon cause it might get me started and touch my trigger again. Anyhow i trid it with almonds in the middle of the balls and it really brought out the flavor. Great recipe!;)

A.M. General,

Very interesting concept - sounds like something to serve as a party food. Did you put a whole almond in each ball? Also, was the almond soft after cooking or was it still crunchie?
