Sorry for all these questions, but I've never had a boat with a built in battery charger.
I'm assuming that the charger will charge up the trolling batteries. Will it charge up the other batteries too? This is the included charger that came with the Lund.

It will charge all batteries that its hooked up to. I presume all are hooked up. Will charge until full then trickle charge after that. Just plug it in and forget it.
I keep mine plugged in all winter outside. Done that for the last 3 winters and the batteries are just fine.

Just be carefull when you're playing with your battery connections in there. I don't know what you have for Batteries, but it sounds like you have atleast 3. All should be hookled to the charger, but make sure none of the circuits are hooked up as 24v(semi-common on boats with big trolling motors) before you go tapping off them. If it is a factory setup, it may be described in your owners manual.

I have a similar question, after the first winter I was having a problem with my starting battery, when I took it in for service I told them about it, they told me I had a loose wire and they fixed it. After the second winter, I lose the starting battery, won't hold a charge, then finally won't even take a charge. I find out I have a 5 amp 1 bank charger and it is only connected to the deep cycle trolling battery.
I have done some research and have some options.
I could get a switch so I can use the existing charger and charge both batterie's, but this requires manually swithing over and the cost is about 90 bucks for the switch.
I could get 10 amp/ 2 bank/ 5 amp per bank charger for about 90 bucks and charge both batterie's at once automatically (w/o switch)
I thought about the possibility of connecting the existing 5 amp charger to both batterie's but not sure what would happen, as far as one battery getting overcharge or both batterie's charging from alternator or the effects of using the trolling motor with two battery hook up.
What would be the best way to go ?
I am thinking a new 2 bank charger.

Rich, when I had a 12v setup for my trolling motor, I used a 2-bank system. Now that I use 24v for trolling I have a 3-bank system. Once you hook it up just forget about any switching or overcharging. And leave it on all winter in the boat, batteries will be fine. I do it this way all the time.
I had a Guest charger(2-bank) and now I have a BPS 3-bank that I got on sale for $99.

Mike,
Thanks for your opinion, it looks like I will be buying a two bank charger.
