I'm posting this on behalf of a co-worker:
I am having problem with my Merc 125 2 + 2 at low speed. When trolling I try to adjust the throttle linkage up from 800 rpm's to around 900 rpm's. When I do this it accelerates up to around 1100 rpm's. At times it will hold at 900 for a little while and then bump up to 1100.
Can anyone out there recommend someone or something I can do to help me with this problem. I called a dealership and they suggested that i have them do a "link and sink" this with a cost of $175. I would be more than willing to pay the money if it will correct my problem.
