Well this moring i had two hawks flying around. I didnt know what type. they are slightly larger then a crow brown on the back and white down the entire front. Any thoughts?
They seemed to be playing more then hunting.

I'm not a expert on this but they could be cooper hawks. I know they are smaller than the red tail and the coloring sounds about right. Alot of peple mistake them for red tails. Also they are natorious for feeding on pigeons. There are a few people around me that raise pigeons and they are always loosing them to the coopers.

But without a picture it's hard to say.

They could be young Red-tails. If the breast is biege with brown spots, that is one of the Red Tail traits. I guess its also the trait of the cooper. Let us know when you find out.

Flying low to the ground short distances at a time. the ducks didnt seem to mind them. I think Sarge got it. Juvinile Red Tails. My frist thought was red tail but they were so small and playfull.
