Well, I pulled the trigger on that Lund. After blue-booking it looking at it, I pretty much gave in to the pressure. Heck, even my wife was saying "if it's such a good deal just buy it." She's pretty cool that way.

So here she is. I don't have a full picture because the light in the pole barn wasn't quite good enough.

Here's the business end of the boat...

It's got a 135 optimax direct injection 2-stroke and a 9.9Hp kicker. The kicker is tied to the wheel, most excellent.

The boat is a 2000, but he bought it in July of 2001. The guy used it half of one summer and a bit last summer. Then the divorce and marital problems came up and he hasn't had it out all year. It's still winterized from the winter before. I have the papers from the dealer at the time they did the winterization, and the 135 had only 35 hours of running time on it. It's practially still a virgin.

Got some nice extras too... 2 Electric downriggers (gotta figure out if I can fish two more or if that kicker is in the way), a top end bow-mount 65lb thrust trolling motor with autopilot and foot controls, two fish finders, GPS, VHF, two live wells, 4 seats, some cushions, a very high end trailer, etc.

Anyone know how fast she'll go? I'm looking for a power curve on the big Merc and I can't find one.

Very nice boat Beave!

Gonna get it in the water soon or wait till next year? I know I wouldn't be able to wait.

That truely is the million dollar question. I'd like to make sure everything is working. That'd also require I totally re-winterize the boat again. That's a pain in the butt and a task I'm not even sure I know how to do.

With an OB, you can wait till the harbors are hard before you winterize. Theres really nothing to it. Once you get it down, 10 minutes. If you had questionalbe seals on your lower, you may have to worry about changing the lower fluid, but if you drain it and its not milky, you should be alright(you just dont want to have any water seeped into your lower and freeze). Re-Antifreezing and fogging will take less than 10 minutes. Your keeping it indoors so that gives you more leway. Put some sta-bil in one time before it gets cold out.. Leave your motor down and most water should drain on its own.

What about water in the bilge pump lines, the live well lines, etc?

Should top out at about 45 MPH on flat water. Depends on how much lard you are carrying.

Nah, I've gotta wait for insurance and stuff. Now what I really want to do is find somewhere the walleye are biting. Too late for the big lake, but maybe I can get out and nail a few eyes next week.

Beave....don't forget about that late walleye bite that happens on Muskegon Lake before the freeze up. Can be pretty good fishing.

Nice boat!!

on your live well pump you should have a plastic in line clean out make sure it and your pump gets filled with the pink stuff. don't leave the boat plug in for the winter. and give it a good tilt for drainage.

there is nothing to winterizing an OB If you take it out or not. I would still change the lower end dope. Its quick and easy.

and as far as putting stable in the gas tank. first you add it to the tank then you take it for a ride to get it into the carb ;) . don't forget to stable your kicker to.

your boat will run the quickest in spring and fall. the colder the water the better.(bar Ice) your prop gets a better bite in cold water. and the OB's (once warm) love it. TAKE it for a ride

Hey Beave...

Welcome to the Lund fraternity! :D By the way... don't be so hasty in putting on 2 more riggers. I have 4 electric riggers but I don't think I have used all 4 at the same time for a couple of years now. I did use 3 at the Labor Day tourney... but that is the only time this year that I did. Alot of other good presentations to use instead... lead core.. planers... dipsies... lb. drops... etc... etc!!

Good Luck with the "new" boat!!
