OK boys and girls, which do you prefer the Kirtland's warbler or the Robin?

ROBIN VS. WARBLER: State bird debate is in full flight

A bill that would switch the state bird from the familiar red-breasted songbird to Kirtland's warbler is set to be introduced in the House today, matching a bill introduced in the state Senate last week.
Feathers already are flying between supporters of the robin and their warbler foes.

Pushing robin out of state nest won't be easy

The Kirtland's warbler, a federally endangered species with only about 1,200 known pairs, attracts throngs of bird watchers to Michigan every year. Designating the warbler as the state bird could increase tourism dollars.

Yes, it is easier to relate to a bird we can all watch, but I still lean toward a bird that is more unique to Michigan. Too many other states have the same robin for their bird.

me too, like something that is sorat indigenous to Michigan. Robins are all too common too many other places for me, i'd vote Warbler...
