I am Looking to buy a 18' Lund boat this Spring to Fish on St Clair and inland lakes. Has anybody had trouble with rivets popping or leaking, or is this not a issue. I was looking for some Feedback and advice. Thanks!

Not really an issue. You can by a Mercedes and something can still break. Rivets can come loose and leak, welded boats can crack. Take your pick.

Have to agree with Walleye Mike on this one. I have a 16' Tracker thats made with rivets for 3 years with no leaks. Have many friends with riveted boats and without rivets and no problems..

I've got a 1800 Lund Alaskan, no leaks yet, no problems. Where are you looking to get it from? I got mine from Lindy's Sales. Good pricing and even better service.

I have a 16.5' LOWE and it's riveted. It doesn't leak too bad, but it does. Probably, a couple of gallons a 6 hour trip.

Mines a 4 year old Smokercraft 16.5 ft. Been on the great lakes since new and never pull the plug unless it rains. I like to forget to but it back in at the launch.LOL

i switched from a 17ft bass boat to a 17ft lund two years ago. i haven't had any problems. i believe lund offers a lifetime warranty on rivets.

I've got a 16.5 smakercraft and been running detroit river and lake erie for 11 years with it and no leaking rivits. Had a 16 ft aluminum for 20 years before that and had maybe 1 or 2 rivets leaking on it, but very slightly less than a gallon per trip, but even that was after 20 years of rough service.
